Azerbaijan State Theater Museum – 90
On December 9, 2024, an event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan State Theater Museum named after Jafar Jabbarly was held. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Murad Huseynov, prominent artists, scientists and cultural figures, and media representatives.
The event was opened by the director of the museum, Honored Cultural Worker Sevinj Mikayilova with an introductory speech. She gave brief information about the history of Azerbaijani theater and spoke about the development path of the State Theater Museum, which includes this history.
Then a video clip reflecting the rich history of the museum was presented. Chairman of the Union of Theater Figures of Azerbaijan, People's Artist, State Prize laureate Haji Ismayilov spoke about the important role of the museum in the history of Azerbaijani theater, presented the Order of Honor of the Union to Sevinj Mikayilova for her services in the field of promoting the history of national theater and on the occasion of her 90th anniversary.
The speakers at the event – Honored Art Workers, Doctors of Art History, Professors Maryam Alizadeh, Ilham Rahimli, People’s Artist, Director Marahim Farzalibeyov, Artistic Director of the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater, Honored Art Worker, State Prize Laureate Mehriban Alakbarzadeh, People’s Artist Nuraddin Mehdikhanli, Director of the Center for Scientific Restoration of Museum Treasures and Memorabilia, Honored Cultural Worker Zarifa Malikova, Director of the J. Jabbari House Museum, Honored Cultural Worker Gamar Seyfaddin gizi, Director of the State Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan, Honored Cultural Worker Alla Bayramova, Employee of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Nazakat Qafqazli congratulated the management of the Theater Museum and museum employees on the occasion of the anniversary.
Artistic compositions performed by actors of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater and the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater were presented at the event. At the end, commemorative photos were taken.
